This is such a fun game. I whip it out whenever we host and people have such a fun time. It's good quality, its fast and fun and competitive. The only thing is that it's a little expensive even though its just a board game... nothing wrong with the game itself though it came with all the pieces.

My family (2 boomers and 2 gen-Xers) really enjoyed playing this game together. It took us more than a few minutes to figure out the rules, especially the part with the "spades" markings. The spinner never worked properly because it doesn't really fit into the folds of the board, but we just ignored that part of the game. Also, some of the words were not familiar to us, especially some people and a few places (we looked them up, they were in Britain, we are in the USA.) When this happened, we just drew another card and moved. This was a fun game, we all enjoyed it, even the one of us who doesn't really like board games.
Emilie
Very fun game! Took a little longer to ship but totally worth it. It's a high quality game with a mix of fast paced and slower paced aspects. Super fun for bigger groups.
Abbie
This is a fun game for friends or family. I like how easy it is to learn and having partners adds to the fun and interaction as a group.

We recently got the Articulate Family board game, and it's been a hit with both kids and adults. The fast-talking description rounds make everyone think quickly and laugh a lot - it's really engaging! Suitable for ages 12+ and 4-20+ players, it's perfect for family gatherings or parties. Highly recommend if you're looking for a lively, fun game that gets everyone involved!
Jana
This is by far one of the best games I have played as an adult. My children love it too. The game came sooner than expected. I highly recommend this game to those who want to have a great experience with their children on game night and still enjoy the intelligence of playing the game as an adult.

The Story of Articulate!
Origins
Articulate! was first released in 1992 by Drumond Park, built around a simple but brutally effective idea from creator Andrew Bryceson: describe a word without actually saying it, against the clock, while everyone else shouts, laughs, and applies maximum pressure. Bryceson set out to create a game that rewarded quick thinking, communication, and personality rather than specialist knowledge - and the result became one of the most recognisable party board games ever created in the UK.
Three Decades of Success
Since launch, Articulate! has sold over 2 million copies and has ranked in the UK adult games top 10 every single year. In 2009, it became one of the three best-selling games in the UK and overtook Trivial Pursuit as the leading adult board game property in the country.
The game earned a reputation as a "laster" - staying relevant long after trends come and go. Its staying power comes from being genuinely inclusive: easy to learn in minutes, but endlessly replayable thanks to the wildly different ways people describe the same thing.
The classic edition features 500 cards and 3,000 topics across six categories: Person, World, Object, Action, Nature, and Random. Games accommodate 4-20+ players aged 12+, with a circular board, 30-second timer, and spinner mechanics that add tactical twists without slowing the pace. Expansion packs followed, including Articulate! for Kids and Articulate Your Life - voted one of the best new games of 2010 by expert toy retailers at the Toy Fair.
Recognition
In 2017, James Kendrick and Chris Ager set the official Guinness World Record for Articulate!, winning 411 cards against four competing teams. The game is regularly featured in toy awards, "best of" lists, and media round-ups on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Game Today
Articulate! remains what it has always been: the fast-talking description game that draws the shy out of their shell, humbles the overconfident, and turns ordinary rooms into loud, laughing arenas of chaos. Whether played in the UK or the USA, the formula is unchanged - quick minds, loose tongues, and thirty seconds to make yourself understood.

Articulate! is a fast-talking description game where players describe words to their teammates without saying the word itself, any derivative, or using "sounds like" clues. Teams race against a 30-second timer while opponents heckle and the pressure mounts. Simple to learn, impossible to master, reliably chaotic.
4 to 20+ players. The game works best with larger teams - eight players should form two teams of four rather than four pairs. More players means more shouting, more wrong guesses, and more laughing.
Articulate! Classic is designed for ages 12 and up. For younger players, Articulate! for Kids is available and can be played standalone or mixed into the classic game.
Typically 30-60 minutes depending on the number of players and how competitive things get. Games can run shorter or longer based on house rules and how often teams land on SPIN segments.
The classic edition contains a circular board, 500 cards with 3,000 words, an arrow spinner, a 30-second timer, 4 playing pieces, and instructions.
Yes. The Articulate! Extra Pack No. 1 contains 500 new cards with 3,000 additional words, fully compatible with the classic game.
